Salifert - Amino Coral - 250ml

Salifert's Coralline AminoAcids contains all the amino acids in the correct proportions as found in the coral skeletons. It omits all the amino acids which have a negative effect on the stability and growth of the coral skeleton.

Why are amino acids required?

The skeletal meterial of the corals in built-up with alternating layers of calcium carbonate and layers rich in amino acids. These amino acids fulfil many important functions. They stabilize the skeletal material avoiding the transformation into a totally different crystal stucture, and they also decrease the negative effect of phosphate on the coral growth. Furthermore, amino acids serve as a food for most corals and benefecial bacteria.
